PRÉCURSEUR
Dès les années 1970, Robert Mathys senior a suivi l’idée prometteuse de développement d’implants monoblocs isoélastiques1. Cette idée combinée au pressfit équatorial2,3 décrit par le Prof. Erwin Morscher et à l’option tribologique d’un polyéthylène hautement réticulé enrichi en vitamine E (VEPE)4 a donné naissance à la cupule unique en son genre RM Pressfit vitamys.

ÉPROUVÉ
La philosophie de base ayant largement fait ses preuves et reposant sur la loi de Wolff 1,5 se distingue par d’exceptionnels résultats cliniques6–10 et d’excellentes données dans les registres internationaux11–15.

ISOÉLASTIQUE
La cupule RM Pressfit vitamys présente une élasticité qui correspond à celle de l’os environnant16, ce qui influence positivement le comportement de stress shielding17,25,26.

PRÉSERVE L'OS
L’action conjuguée du polyéthylène vitamys (VEPE) iso-élastique résistant à l’usure (VEPE)4 avec une épaisseur de paroi  maximale17–19 et du revêtement en particules de titane réduit le risque d’ostéolyse 4,7,20–23 et préserve l’os environnant10,24–27.

EFFICACE
L’instrumentation spécifiquement simple de la société Mathys favorise un flux de travail efficace. Par ailleurs, le design en monobloc de la cupule RM Pressfit vitamys permet un stockage minimal de l’implant malgré une large palette de tailles.
